Imagine you’re embarking on a journey to build something truly remarkable—a journey where patience and persistence are your greatest allies. Success, much like the natural process of life, doesn’t happen overnight. Consider the metaphor of childbirth: it takes nine months for a baby to develop. You can’t gather nine women and expect to produce a baby in just one month. There are no shortcuts in life; everything, whether natural or human-made, requires time.

Many people today seek quick wins—earning $1,000 tomorrow or $10,000 next month. But if that’s your mindset, this journey isn’t for you. This path is for those who have a vision, a desire to build something big and lasting. Quick money is tactical, and you’ll find countless people on platforms like YouTube teaching you how to make a few thousand dollars quickly. But those who aim higher understand that real success requires time, focus, and persistent effort.

Let’s take the story of a medical student in America. It takes four years to earn a degree and another three years of residency to become a doctor. In those first four years, the student spends money, time, and energy without seeing much financial return. During residency, they might make around $40,000 in the first year, $55,000 in the second, and $70,000 in the third. It’s not much compared to the effort invested, but once they become a fully qualified doctor, they start earning a quarter of a million dollars annually. If they specialize further, say in surgery or cardiology, their earnings can reach a million dollars a year.

But this success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a result of nine years of hard work, persistence, and sacrifice. Contrast this with the allure of quick money in eCommerce, where some young entrepreneurs make millions in a few months. However, these ventures can be fragile—one larger competitor could easily take over, and the business might fail as quickly as it rose. Unlike eCommerce, no one can take away the skills of a surgeon.

The lesson here is clear: invest in building a skill that no one can take from you. Persistence, coupled with hard work, is the key to a successful, worry-free life. Focus on your long-term vision, and with time, you will achieve the success you desire.
